Compensation: $60,000 to $85,000 Annually
Ivy Terra LLC is looking for commercial landscape estimators to join our growing Houston, TX, landscape company. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and reliable.
$60,000.00 to $85,000/Year (DOE)
Work as part of the Ivy Tera LLC team to develop and implement a plan with objectives to targeting projects in new regions, Harris County, and for expanding within our existing service regions and customer base. Increase brand and company recognition by participating in community and business networking events.
Performs all aspects of the bidding process including material takeoffs, soliciting subcontractor quotes, material quotes, finalizing specialty material orders, and proposal generation
Reports directly to the senior project estimator to ensure thoroughness and accuracy of all estimates
Work in tandem with the landscape architects/designers, senior estimator, and construction manager to accurately price out all aspects of construction
Maintain communication with Design and Construction departments to ensure proposals are submitted on time and with accurate budgets
Calculating installation costs for: demolition, grading, hardscape, drainage, irrigation, soil amendments, planting, fencing, and many more
Detail oriented, thorough, and precise in planning and executing job responsibilities
Ability to accurately read and interpret project plans and specifications, and details of varying levels of complexity
Ability to creatively and professionally problem solve individually and collectively
Ability to organize and achieve multiple deadlines at one time and handle frequent interruptions
Willingness to accept constructive feedback and apply necessary corrections in a timely manner
Dependable and reliable
Minimum 2 years of experience in landscape estimating
Excellent communication skills including written, oral, and listening skills
Understanding of local best construction practices
Valid Texas Driver's License and Clean MVR
Bachelor's degree in related construction program (Preferred)
Proficiency with industry specific bidding software
Proficiency with computer-based takeoff programs
Company Cell phone and computer will be provided
